Head of Commercial Development - UK & European Business Unit

We are seeking an entrepreneurial, highly motivated scientist / business development professional to introduce a revolutionary new technique for protein biomarker analysis to the UK and European markets. Cell Biosciences is a well funded Palo Alto, CA-based developer of protein analysis systems. We have built extraordinary teams of experienced employees, highly respected academic collaborators and a well regarded consortium of international health care investors. Our largest shareholder is the Wellcome Trust.
This individual will be responsible for closing sales and initiating the first international demonstrations of our technology with clinicians and translational medicine researchers in cancer, diabetes and systems biology. You will build upon our initial US collaborations which include biomarkers in breast, blood, lung and melanoma cancers and stem cells with clinical researchers at UCSF, Lawrence Berkeley National Labs, Stanford, Sloan Kettering and H. Lee Moffitt.
As our first international employee, you will be responsible for setting up our international applications, sales and service operations. The ideal individual will have an understanding of cell signaling applications in the research and pharmaceutical markets and have experience in selling and servicing sophisticated instrumentation and reagents.
The position reports to the CEO and offers an excellent compensation package including participation in a stock incentive plan.

Software Engineer: Embedded Control Systems
Description:
We are seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to further the development of a revolutionary protein analysis instrument. You will be responsible for developing the embedded software for our next generation of analytical instruments. You will also be involved in defining new instrument control architecture for future products. This position requires a close working relationship with electrical and mechanical engineers, as well as biologists and other scientists.
Work experience requirements:
You should have a minimum of 5 years of embedded software development experience in a multidisciplinary environment. Experience with communications protocols such as Ethernet, USB and CANBUS is essential. The candidate must also have practical experience with deterministic real-time control of hardware devices. Experience with the Linux OS is and a wide range of languages such as C, Java and Python is valuable. Experience working with scientists in a small startup environment is a plus.
Education Requirements:
You should hold a bachelors degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or physical sciences
