Firefly 3000 reagent kits are designed so you can choose the combination that best fits your workflow. Start with a focusing kit with the optimal pH range for your assay. Then select a detection kit with the proper detection antibody. Add a box of capture capillaries, and you’re ready to go to work. Not running full plates? We’ve even got a kit with extra plates and lids.

Firefly 3000 Focusing Kits

Firefly 3000 Focusing Kits provide all reagents necessary for isoelectric focusing of proteins from complex samples, such as lysates of cells and tissues. These kits contain our proprietary plates and lids, and are available with three ampholyte formulations to support different separation ranges: pH 2-11, pH 4-7, and pH 5-8.

Firefly 3000 Focusing Kits contain:

• Ampholyte gradient premix
• Two TAMRA-labeled pI standards
• HNG sample diluent
• Anolyte (acid)
• Catholyte (base)
• Cleaning solution
• Assay plates

Firefly 3000 Detection Kits

Firefly 3000 Detection Kits enable chemiluminescent detection of proteins by providing an HRP-labeled detection antibody with peroxide/luminol reagents for the chemiluminescent reaction. These kits are available with either anti-mouse HRP or anti-rabbit HRP detection antibodies.

Firefly 3000 Detection Kits contain:

• Anti-mouse HRP or anti-rabbit HRP detection antibody
• Peroxide reagent
• Luminol reagent
• Antibody dilution buffer
• TBST wash buffer

Firefly 3000 Capture Capillaries

Capture capillaries are required for IEF protein separation and capture on the Firefly 3000. Each box of capture capillaries contains 96 capillaries.

Firefly 3000 Plate Kit

The Firefly 3000 Protein Analysis System uses specific plates and lids. Use of non-Cell Biosciences plates and lids may cause mechanical and/or assay failures to occur. Each Firefly 3000 Focusing Kit includes plates for performing runs of 96 samples per plate. If runs of fewer than 96 samples are performed, order one or more Plate Kits as needed.

Each Firefly 3000 Plate Kit contains:

• One sample/antibody 96-well plate (blue)
• Two buffer/Luminol mixing 96-well plates (clear)
• Two 96-well plate lids
